Pembelajaran Berbasis Cerita Dan Diskusi Untuk Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Verbal Linguistik Pada Siswa TK B Di Magetan

This study aims to improve verbal-linguistic intelligence in kindergarten B students in Magetan through a story-based learning and discussion approach. The study was conducted in September 2023 at a kindergarten B located in the Magetan area, involving 30 students as participants. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative study with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews with teachers, and documentation of teaching and learning activities. In this study, the story-based and discussion approach was chosen because it can develop children's verbal-linguistic skills through the expression of ideas, speaking in public, and listening to and responding to the stories presented. The results of the study indicate that after participating in a series of story-based learning activities and discussions, there was a significant improvement in children's verbal-linguistic abilities, such as vocabulary mastery, the ability to speak coherently, and listening and communication skills. This study concludes that the use of a story-based and discussion-based approach can be an effective strategy in enhancing the verbal-linguistic intelligence of young children, particularly kindergarten students. Therefore, this approach is expected to be more widely applied in the learning process at the early childhood education level to support the optimal development of children's language and communication skills.
