The management of library data in Taman District, Madiun City, continues to encounter significant challenges due to manual recording practices that often result in data duplication, loss of physical documents, and delays in preparing periodic reports. This community service project aimed to modernize library administration through the design and implementation of a web-based Library Information System. The system was developed using a structured software development lifecycle approach and incorporates modules for digital book archiving, member registration, and automated transaction tracking for book borrowing and returns. A key feature of the system is its automated reporting functionality, which enables administrators to generate real-time statistical reports for local government evaluation efficiently. The implementation results demonstrate improved administrative efficiency, enhanced data accuracy, and reduced processing time in library operations. Moreover, this digital transformation supports the local government’s initiative to build a Smart City ecosystem by improving public service accessibility and promoting digital literacy within the community. The initiative highlights the strategic role of information technology in strengthening public library management and fostering sustainable digital governance at the district level.
