Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze in depth the application of the cooperative learning method of the Bamboo Dancing technique as a means of developing early childhood naturalist intelligence in Tunas Bahagia Jungke Kindergarten. The importance of naturalist intelligence as children's sensitivity and interest in nature is the main background of this research. Using a qualitative approach, this research focuses on understanding the phenomenon holistically and contextually. The research subjects consisted of 14 early childhood children, 2 teachers, and parents/guardians, who were selected to provide a comprehensive perspective. Research data was collected through participatory observation to observe children's direct interaction with the environment and teachers, as well as in-depth interviews with teachers and parents/guardians to explore information related to changes in children's behavior and attitudes. Documentation in the form of field notes and photographs was also used to support the validity of the findings. Data analysis is carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the application of the cooperative learning method of the Bamboo Dancing technique has succeeded in growing and increasing the intelligence of early childhood naturalists. Based on qualitative findings, children showed a significant increase in curiosity, active participation in natural exploration, and a better ability to identify environmental elements. Teachers and parents/guardians also reported positive changes in children, such as increased sensitivity and concern for the surrounding environment, as well as a stronger spirit of collaboration. Thus, it can be concluded that the Bamboo Dancing method is a relevant and effective learning strategy to stimulate naturalist intelligence in early childhood.
