Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Kartu Pecahan Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Peserta Didik Kelas IV SDN Malang

This aims to investigate the effect of using fraction card media on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Malang, Magetan Regency. The background of this research is the low mastery of fraction concepts among elementary students, often caused by abstract material presentation and limited use of concrete learning media. The research design used was a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consisted of one experimental class that received instruction using fraction card media and one control class that learned through conventional methods. Data were collected using mathematics learning outcome tests and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the posttest average score of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class. The use of fraction card media effectively improved students’ understanding of fraction concepts and supported more active, meaningful learning. This study concludes that fraction card media can serve as an effective alternative for teaching abstract mathematics concepts at the elementary level.
