Perancangan Topologi Jaringan Lab Komputer Sekolah Dengan Segmentasi Siswa Dan Guru
Keywords:

This study aims to design a computer laboratory network topology in a school environment by implementing user segmentation between students and teachers to enhance network performance, security, and management efficiency. In conventional networks without segmentation, user access is often unmanaged, leading to network congestion, access conflicts, and increased security vulnerabilities. This research employed a systematic approach consisting of network requirements analysis, topology design, segmentation configuration, and performance testing through simulation. Network segmentation was implemented by separating data traffic between student and teacher user groups, allowing controlled access pathways and reducing potential security threats. The evaluation results demonstrate that the segmented network topology improves network stability, reduces access interference, and enhances data protection compared to non-segmented network structures. Additionally, the proposed design facilitates easier network administration, user access control management, and real-time monitoring of network performance. Therefore, the implementation of network segmentation in school computer laboratories provides an effective strategy to improve operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity measures, and support professional network management practices within educational institutions.
