This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Ngujung 2 on the ecosystem theme through the application of the Kancing Gemerincing learning model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The instruments used were learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and learning motivation questionnaires. The results showed an increase in the average learning outcome score from 65.67 in the pre-action phase to 81.23 in cycle II, with the mastery level rising from 30% to 86.67%. Additionally, students’ learning motivation also improved significantly from an average score of 68.90 to 84.17. These results indicate the effectiveness of the Kancing Gemerincing model in creating an active, collaborative, and enjoyable learning environment. Thus, this model is recommended as an effective alternative thematic learning strategy in primary schools.
