This study aims to analyze the role of communication technology through digital media in enhancing student learning motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Babadan, Ponorogo Regency. The research focuses on the transition period of March–April 2022, during which digital media integration became a strategic response to declining student engagement in the post-pandemic learning environment. The study adopts the ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) motivational framework to examine how digital learning design addresses students’ psychological needs. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation of digital platform utilization. Research participants included teachers as educational communicators and students as recipients within digital-based learning processes. The findings indicate that the implementation of gamification platforms such as Quizizz, visual design tools such as Canva, and learning management systems such as Google Classroom effectively functioned as persuasive communication media. These tools fostered interactive learning environments, reduced communication barriers, and provided timely feedback that enhanced student satisfaction and motivation. The study concludes that digital communication technology serves not only as instructional support but also as a strategic component in strengthening student learning motivation.
