Efektivitas Project-Based Learning dalam Pembelajaran PPKn untuk Meningkatkan Civic Disposition dan Kepedulian Sosial

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in improving students’ civic disposition and social awareness. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The participants were twelfth-grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Magetan who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Research instruments included a civic disposition questionnaire, a social awareness scale, and classroom observation sheets to monitor learning activities. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to determine differences between groups. The findings revealed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in both civic disposition and social awareness variables (p < 0.05). Students who participated in PjBL-based learning demonstrated higher levels of civic attitudes and social concern compared to those who received conventional instruction. These results indicate that Project-Based Learning is more effective in fostering students’ civic character and social engagement. Therefore, PjBL is recommended as an instructional strategy in PPKn to strengthen character education and promote active social participation among students.
