Continuous professional development for teachers is essential for creating innovative, enjoyable, and adaptive learning that aligns with the rapidly evolving challenges of the digital era. In the educational context of Maospati District, issues such as student boredom and low classroom participation highlight the need for more creative instructional strategies. This community service program aims to improve Indonesian language learning at SDN 1 Sugihwaras through the implementation of the See-Say Method, a visual-based instructional approach designed to stimulate students’ oral language production and address the limitations of traditional monologic teaching methods.
The training was conducted using a blended approach grounded in adult learning principles (andragogy) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL). The sessions began with interactive lectures to activate teachers’ critical understanding, followed by guided workshops in which participants designed and developed ready-to-use See-Say instructional media that align with the curriculum and the local needs of Sugihwaras.
The program generated three key outcomes: (1) Enhanced teacher pedagogical competence in designing, producing, and applying visual media—such as e-flashcards and photo storyboards—to stimulate students’ spoken language skills; (2) The creation of school digital assets consisting of validated See-Say media products, which function as a teacher digital portfolio; and (3) The transformation of the language learning ecosystem into a more dynamic, interactive, and supportive environment. Ultimately, the implementation of this program led to increased student motivation, active participation, verbal fluency, and confidence in communication at SDN 1 Sugihwaras.
