Abstract

This study aims to identify factors influencing students' learning motivation in elementary schools, particularly in science. Learning motivation is a crucial element in students' academic success, playing a significant role in increasing their interest and achievement.
This study used a quantitative approach with a survey design, collecting data through questionnaires distributed to 100 fifth-grade students in several elementary schools in Magetan Regency. The questionnaire was designed to measure various factors suspected of influencing learning motivation, including internal factors (e.g., personal interest in science and the need to succeed), external factors (e.g., parental support and school facilities), and teacher factors (including teaching style and classroom interaction). Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and linear regression to determine the influence of each factor on student learning motivation.
The results showed that internal factors, such as personal interest in science, had the greatest influence on student learning motivation, followed by parental support and teacher teaching style. This study recommends that science teachers pay attention to students' interests and needs and create a supportive and engaging learning environment to enhance student learning motivation.
