Pelatihan Konselor Peningkatan Keterampilan Konseling Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja Berkebutuhan Khusus Pada Guru di Kabupaten Magetan

Puberty is a critical developmental phase for adolescents with special needs (ABK) that often generates anxiety among students, teachers, and parents. This community service program was conducted in Magetan Regency with the objective of enhancing teachers’ competence in delivering appropriate, disability-friendly reproductive health counseling services. The program employed counseling training methods and the development of social inclusion–based edutourism units to establish a supportive ecosystem involving productive community partners. The primary focus of the activity was to equip teachers with effective dialogic skills to guide ABK adolescents through biological and behavioral changes during puberty, while simultaneously strengthening the role of parents as active discussion partners within the home environment.
The results of the program indicated an increased sense of security and improved psychological well-being among students at school due to the availability of competent and reliable counseling support. The strengthened synergy between teachers and parents proved effective in minimizing behavioral conflicts at home and enhancing family resilience. In addition to educational outcomes, collaboration with the Inclusive Garden partner successfully transformed a hydroponic business unit into a community empowerment center with added economic and social value. The program concludes that an integrated counseling approach combined with environmental empowerment can foster inclusive public spaces and positively enhance the institutional image of educational organizations in supporting the independence of adolescents with special needs in Magetan Regency.
