Abstract

Manufacturing polutecnhnic of Bangka Belitung is one of the state universities in Belitung which has implemented a computerized system. However, the ongoing attendance data collection (presence) is still using manual attendance, namely students who fill out signatures on attendance sheets given by the study program admin to each class, or still use student names. Attendance recapitulation and student attendance reporting are also done manually. In addition, the weakness of manual attendance can lead to cheating that may be done by students. Therefore, this study emerged which intends to overcome this problem by using a web-based Qr-Code. According to (soon, 2018), a QR code is a type of matrix code or two- dimensional barcode developed by Denso Wave. then the data is stored in a database via the web. This system development method uses the waterfall method with the stages of needs analysis. Implementation using the php language and MySQL database. With this system, it can provide a solution to make it easier to manage student attendance. And able to improve the quality of lectures and can calculate the recapitulation of attendance reporting accurately.
