Evaluasi Kualitas Layanan dan Variasi Menu Program MBG: Perspektif Orang Tua Siswa.

This study aims to evaluate the service quality and menu variety of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program from the perspective of parents in Magetan District. As part of a national initiative to improve students’ nutritional status, parental perception represents an important indicator in assessing program implementation at the local level. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were collected through a survey administered to parents in Magetan District using a validated questionnaire that measured indicators of service quality, including punctuality of distribution, hygiene standards, and staff professionalism, as well as menu variety indicators such as nutritional composition and visual appeal. The findings show that overall service quality is categorized as good, with food hygiene emerging as the highest-rated aspect. Regarding menu variety, although nutritional adequacy standards have been achieved, parents reported concerns about the repetitive use of similar food ingredients, which may potentially reduce students’ appetite and lead to consumption fatigue. These results indicate that operational aspects of the program are functioning effectively; however, greater innovation in menu diversification based on local food resources is necessary. The study provides evidence-based recommendations for stakeholders in Magetan District to enhance program management and ensure alignment with parental expectations and students’ long-term nutritional needs.
