Abstract
Character education is very important to apply to elementary school students. Character education in elementary school will teach habits of thinking and behavior that help students to live and work together in the family, community and nation. Some of the problems that arise in the world of education include a lack of exemplary teacher character for students, low teacher understanding of character education, and a lack of training for teachers to understand the importance of character education. The method used in community service is through training activities. From the results of this Community Service, it can be concluded that this training was quite successful where the training participants were very enthusiastic in the training activities, this is also because each teacher had never received socialization from the government regarding government policiesprovide Strengthening Character Education in Schools. The results of the mentoring show that each teacher has developed their understanding and knowledge regarding character education in schools. This can be seen from the results of teacher enthusiasm who have implemented character education in various activities at school.
