Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar IPA Materi Sistem Reproduksi Pada Manusia Melalui Metode Inquiry Pada Siswa Kelas IX-A SMP Negeri 1 Gondang Semester I Tahun 2019/2020
Abstract
In science subjects whose learning process emphasizes providing direct experience to
develop competence in order to explore and understand the natural surroundings scientifically, a
conducive learning atmosphere is needed. Learning by discovery (inquiry) stimulates students' desire to
know, motivates them to continue their work until they find the answer. Learning achievement is the result
obtained after students run a learning business. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) To find out
the extent to which science learning achievements in the material of the Human Reproductive System
through the Inquiry Method for Class IX-A Students of SMP Negeri 1 Gondang Semester I 2019/2020. (2)
To determine the effect of appropriate learning methods applied in the classroom, especially Class IX-A
semester I SMP Negeri 1 Gondang, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency in the odd semester of the
2019/2020 school year. The object of this research is the students of class IX-A, totaling 36 students.
In applying the inquiry method to science learning, the teacher divides the class into 9 large groups.
Each group is tasked with working on the questions given by the teacher. Each group is tasked with
observing, reasoning, and communicating the results of their work to other groups. And other groups
provide feedback or rebuttal. The Inquiry-Based Learning Method has a positive impact on Science
Learning Achievement in Human Reproductive System Materials for Class IX-A semester I SMP Negeri 1
Gondang in 2019/2020. This can be identified from the increase in the percentage of student learning
completeness achievement significantly after receiving treatment from each cycle, namely before the
cycle, cycle I and cycle II respectively as follows: 52.78%, 77.78%, and 100.00% .
