Abstract

Physical Education, Sports and Health is one of the subjects carried out at the
elementary, secondary, and even higher education levels. In general, physical education learning that is
often carried out by physical education teachers is still traditional. Traditional physical education
learning If the material has not been completed, it will be repeated at the next meeting. This kind of
learning is very monotonous, students feel bored, students must follow all instructions from the teacher,
sometimes students even feel afraid of the teacher if they cannot carry it out. The subjects of this study
were all students of Class VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Gondang, Tulungagung Regency in the first semester of
the 2019/2020 school year, totaling 36 students. The reason the researcher conducted research in the
classroom was because students had difficulty in learning Physical and Physical Education. It is known
from the average score of these students who are still below the KKM. The value of Physical Education
subjects that have not met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) is 75, from 36 students only 20
children whose scores meet the KKM, so learning completeness in Physical Education subjects for class
VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Gondang only reached 55.56% of 20 student.
Based on the results of the discussion above, it can be concluded that the results of the above data on
student achievement (study test results) using the demonstration method show that learning achievement
has increased from each cycle. It can be seen that the average value of students in Class VII-D before
before the cycle: 74.86 cycle I: 77.08 and cycle II: 80.97 with the percentage of classical student learning
completeness also increased, namely before the cycle: 55, 56%, cycle I: 75%, and cycle II: 100%. This
indicates success in increasing interest and learning achievement in Class VII-D students of SMP Negeri
1 Gondang, Tulungagung Regency in 2019/2020, with research results that always increase every cycle,
meaning that the research is successful.
