Abstract

The determination of the Indonesian language learning method is one of the determining factors in supporting the success of Indonesian language learning, in addition to other factors such as student circumstances, support for learning facilities and infrastructure and so on. To improve student achievement, teachers must be able to create pleasant teaching and learning conditions for students so that students can have the motivation to learn. Education must be able to help students to develop potential talents, creativity that students have in full towards the formation of a complete human being. One of the interesting innovations to accompany the change in learning which is all teacher-centred to student-centered is the discovery and application of innovative, creative, and constructive learning models or more precisely in developing and exploring students concretely and independently in the academic and social fields. it is very important for educators, especially teachers, to understand the material, students and learning methodologies in the learning process, especially related to the selection of modern learning models, one of which is cooperative learning. In this case the author chooses the Jigsaw Cooperative Method in improving students' Indonesian learning achievement. Based on observations made in the learning process in class V SDN 1 Dono, Sendang District, Tulungagung Regency, it appears that the Indonesian language learning process still emphasizes the use of the lecture method, besides that the teacher in presenting learning material relies more on the completeness of the material, not focusing on the meaningfulness of the participants. educate.

The purpose of this research is to get an objective picture of Improving Learning Achievement in Indonesian Language Subjects Material Elements of Stories Applying the Jigsaw Cooperative Method to Class V Students of SDN 1 Dono Semester I Year 2019/2020, totaling 23 students. The reason the researcher makes the research subjects is the fifth grade students of SDN 1 Dono, Sendang District, Tulungagung Regency because the average value of fifth grade students is still low below the KKM of 75 in Indonesian Language Subjects. This research starts from September to October in the 2019/2020 academic year in Semester I. Based on the Jigsaw Cooperative Method, it can improve learning achievement in Indonesian Language Elements of Story Elements for Class V students in Semester I 2019/2020 at SDN 1 Dono, Sendang District, Tulungagung Regency. . This can be seen from the value before the cycle of 73.91 and the learning completeness of 56.52%, the first cycle obtained an average value of: 79.57 with learning completeness of 78.26% and in the second cycle it increased to: 85, 65 with a percentage of completeness of 100%. This shows that the use of the Jigsaw Cooperative Method can improve the learning achievement of Indonesian Language Subjects in Class V students of SDN 1 Dono for the 2019/2020 academic year.
